3D Printing

Those of you interested in making 3D drawing ideas that can be output using 3D printers should explore 123D Catch and 123D Make. The processing is done by uploading your information to a dedicated 'cloud' so you don't need an advanced powerful computer. Look at this link.
The artist Nick Ervinck has a show at the Dr. Guislain Museum in Ghent at the moment, which is entirely constructed using 3D printing. This new development asks some very interesting questions about the relationship between drawing, printing and sculpture. For the first time you can control the whole process, making a drawing and outputting this as a printed object.
